Afghan Student Poetry
Please note. The vast of these poems were written by Afghan girls in the Summer and Fall of 2022. We will not share the names of the authors for their safety. Needless to say, she was one "Contemplative" poetess.
The Pen
I write from my memories
Until life gets the pen
The pen writes all these thoughts
Lasting words, conversations and stories
Who took the pen and the learning of science
This pen adorns the position of teacher’s thoughts
If the tip of your razor is sharper than the tip of the pen
This pen is a way of saying what the lord says
Let this pen be both your leader and your guide
Because it taught you both science and writing
می نویسم سخنی ز خود یادگار
تا قلم بر دست نهید است روزگار
این قلم نویسد این همه اندیشه ها
سخن ها، گفتگو ها و قصه های ماندگار
کز قلم بر دست گرفت آموخت علم
این قلم زینت بخشِ مقام اندیشه ی آموزگار
گر نوک تیغ تو برتر از نوک قلم
این قلم باشد رهی از گفته ی پرودگار
این قلم باشد ترا هم رهبر و هم رهنما
چون ترا آموخت علم و انتشار

Life
Life based on personal opinion is based on two elements:
1) Ignorance and misery
2) Knowledge and enlightenment
So my interpretation of life is this: we should never protest against ignorance and misery. Going through this process will achieve many of the goals and aspirations that you have been waiting for. You should never give up on the challenges of life.
In the words of one of my best teachers, Asadullah Hussein Husseinpoor who says “A diamond is a piece of coal that has withstood pressure well! Man must also endure hardships to succeed.” Today we are like coal, and by accepting all these problems we will become diamonds tomorrow. The weaker we feel or when we stop, the more we lag behind the caravan of happiness and success. Otherwise, if you appreciated the difficult days of your life and regretted it, I wish I had not done so. After that, let us be careful to not twist our lives backwards with chains. Rather, we went out of our way to measure these misfortunes. If you think about it, life is like a sea that sometimes calms a person with its beauty. But, another time, it destroys us with huge and terrifying waves. Be prepared to endure any challenge.
زندگی به نظر و دیدگاه شخصی خودم مبتنی از دو عنصر می باشد.
۱:- جهل و بدبختی.
۲:- دانایی و روشنایی.
پس تفسیر من از زندگی چنین است: که هیچ وقت به سمت جهل و بدبختی دست اعتراض دراز ننماییم. چون گذشتن از این پروسه باعث رسیدن به خیلی اهداف و آرزوهایت خواهد شد که تا به حال انتظارش را داشتی.
هرگز در مقابل چالش های زندگی نباید تسلیم شد.
به قول یکی از بهترین اساتیدم "اســـــــدالله حسیــــــــن پــــــــور" که می گوید: (الماس یک تکه ذغال سنگ است که فشار را به خوبی تحمل کرده است! انسان نیز برای موفق شدن باید سختی هارا تحمل کرد.)
امروز ما همانند ذغال سنگی هستیم که با پذیرفتن این همه مشکلات فردا تبدیل به الماس خواهید شد.
هر قدر که احساس ضعیفی نماییم و یا توقف کنیم به همان اندازه از کاروان خوشبختی و موفقیت به عقب می مانیم. ورنه آنگه قدر روز های دشواری زندگیت را دانسته و افسوس خوری، ای کاش چنین نمی کردم!
پس از همین حال هوشیار باشیم که با زنجیر پسرفت های زندگی خودمان را نپیچانیم. بلکه راه بیرون رفت از این بدبختی هارا بسنجیم.
اگر فکرتان باشد.. زندگی همانند دریایست که یکبار با زیبا بودنش به انسان آرامش می بخشد. ولی باری دیگر با امواج هنگفت و هولناکش نابودمان می کند.
آمادگی مبارزه با هر گونه دشواری را باید داشت.
